The Globe Golf Society’s first event at Lydney

Saturday the 23rd of October was the date of the society’s first ever event. We had a solid turn out for the event starting at 8.30 am at Lydney Golf Club where we enjoyed some bacon sandwiches and a coffee before the first groups headed out.

The day was a great success with everyone reporting that they had a fantastic time, the beers and ham egg and chips at the globe helped of course!

1. 1st place was Chris Norris

2. 2nd Place Rob Simmonds

3. 3rd Place Paul Challenger

• Spike picked up closest to the pin

• Ian Simmonds won the most memorable moment with a drive off the second that went further backwards than it did forwards.
